About CedarHurst Lodge
The CedarHurst Lodge trails are 10km in length and of moderate difficulty. The trail has numerous overlooks and winds through approximately 320 acres of private wilderness with many granite rock outcroppings. The trail has a mid-trail warming cabin (Poogy's Camp) where a Lodge sponsored apres ski is held each weekend during the winter with chili, hot chocolate, cookies and other items. Venture 20 miles to the east and enjoy the challenging trails of the Al Quaal ski area and visit the US Ski Hall of Fame. CedarHurst Lodge provides complimentary trail passes for Al Quaal and other nearby Noquemanon Trail Network managed trails. Explore Michigan's Upper Peninsula at CedarHurst Lodge. Enjoy our 10km of meticulously groomed trails winding through 600 acres of wilderness. Enjoy an apres ski at our mid-trail warming cabin then return to your log cabin and warm up by a roaring fire. Included in your stay is free access to the nearby 75km Noquemanon Trail Network. Take a break from skiing and enjoy ice fishing and ice skating on Juncob Lake or make your own trail and snowshoe through our pristine wilderness. Our two housekeeping log cabins have full kitchen facilities, private saunas, stereo music systems with Sirius satellite radio and high speed wireless internet access. The Lodge has three bedrooms with a loft, two full baths and 1500 square foot great room anchored by a stone fireplace, the River cabin is a two bedroom 1 1/2 bath also with a stone fireplace. Recreation Around CedarHurst Lodge
CedarHurst Lodge is located in the central Upper Peninsula of Michigan, 20 miles west of the Al Quall recreaton area and the start of Noquemanon Ski Marathon. Downhill skiing is available at Marquette Mountain, located near the city of Marquette 30 miles to the east. In the sumer nearby hiking and biking trails include the Republic Wetlands Preserve, McCormick WIlderness Park and Craig Lake State Park. Canoeing and kayaking is available along the Michigamme River and the many area lakes.
