More About Hazen's Notch Association

About

The Hazen's Notch Association trails are spread out over 2,500 acres of privately owned conservation land in the scenic "covered bridge" town of Montgomery. 40 miles of trails wind their way through a mixed maple/birch/evergreen forest and across open meadows providing panoramic views of 2 mountain ranges. Easy trails traverse gentle meadows while intermediate trails wind their way through beautiful forests, home to a great variety of wildlife species. Steeper trails ascend Burnt Mountain where there is an incredible 360 degree view of northern Vermont.

High in the heavy snow belt of the Jay Mountains lies the Hazen's Notch trails, known for excellent terrain and trail design, careful grooming and spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. The Hazen's Notch Association is a non-profit conservation, environmental education and recreation organization that maintains 40 miles of trails for cross country skiing, snowshoeing and hiking.
