About Cascade Lodge
Lutsen Mountain Ski area is 10 minutes away featuring the Midwest's largest Alpine ski area. 90 runs on 4 mountains, terrain park and great Apres Ski with full winter concert lineup at Papa Charlie's nightclub. Excellent assortment of Nordic Ski Trails. 60 km of classic two track pisten bully groomed one direction and another 60 km pisten bully combination skate and classic trails. MN Ski pass required. Many separate and interesting loops through Superior National Forest, some with lookout views of Lake Superior. Warm, inviting Restaurant on site open every day. Lodging on site available--ski out right from your cabin! Trails were developed in the 70's making it the oldest system on the North Shore of Lake Superior. Very fun and enjoyable system to ski. Owner/Operators are avid skiers. Also offer many miles of hiking, waterfalls and snowshoeing.

Minnesota State Ski Pass Required to ski trails. People age 16 and older require the pass which is $5/day, $15/year, and $45/3-year.. Half day ticket pricing starts at 8:00. More About Rentals
Adult ski package includes skis, boots, poles. Full day $17 Half Day $13. Kids package-Full day $11 Half day $7. We have a group and family discount available if you have 4 or more people of 10% off total rental bill. Snowshoes are available too for $13 Full day and $10 Half day. Kids snowshoes are $10 Full day and $7 Half day Get out and enjoy the snow!!

X-country beginner lessons offered on a request basis. Guided snowshoe hikes can be arranged for small and large groups.
Ski Racing Programs at Cascade Lodge
VOLKS SKI FEST being held January 23-January 31, 2009! Lots of different fun events and activities for people of all ages going on throughout Cook County that week.
