About Savage River Lodge
Whether you're a veteran cross-country skier/shoer or you're determined to try something new, we have the facilities and trails to meet your needs. Bring your own equipment or rent from us. Bring your lunch or visit our restaurant. Come for the day or turn your trip into a mid-week or weekend getaway. We have PSIA certified instructors and rentals available. Our 14+ miles of trails are the perfect winter retreat.

The Lodge charges only a $5 usage fee for upkeep of the trails and facilities. . Half day ticket pricing starts at 1:00.

For two-day rentals, adults are $35 and children $25. Snowshoes are $25 per adult for two days and $20 per child for two days. SRL also offers cross country skiing lessons for $20 per person.

Dining Around Savage River Lodge
Our gourmet restaurant and fully stocked bar are open daily for lunch and dinner and breakfast on the weekends. Serving American classic cuisine, such as crabcakes, bison and filet mignon, the seasonally changing menu always offers the freshest ingredients. The wide variety of liquors, craft beers on draft and wine list with over 150 wines, ensure something for everyone.

Since the Lodge is situated in 34 private acres of the 700-acre Savage River State Forest, we are pretty secluded. Our full bar is open until the last guest leaves and on the weekends we have bonfires in our bonfire pit.

The Lodge is only 45 minutes from Deep Creek Lake and the Wisp Ski Resort. The Deep Creek area offers a wide variety of activities from including skiing, sled dogs, snowmobile rentals, sleigh rides, snow tubing and more.
