Mammoth Mountain Terrain

Mammoth Mountain is located at the end of a geological funnel called that San Joaquin Valley. Storms come hot off the Pacific, travel up the natural low-point in the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range and slam right into Mammoth Mountain. Home of legendary "big dumps", like the Feburary, 2007's 8-foot storm in 24hrs!

Mammoth receives an average snowfall of 400 inches per year, all with 300 days of sunshine. It's either snowing hard or it's clear and warm; there are very few overcast days without precipitation.

So, grab your sunscreen and your powderboards, hop on any one of our non-stop flights from San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego or Orange County and PLAY BIG at Mammoth Mountain!
