
Kitzsteinhorn Terrain
Mountain enthusiasts romp over the Kitzsteinhorn glacier the whole year round. One can enjoy perfect powder snow in Autumn, sparkling firn slopes all through Spring and, in between, a magnificent white Winter with absolutely guaranteed natural snow cover. The unique diversity of Salzburg“s only glacier ski area within the alpine region of the Hohe Tauern, is just amazing: 20 totally modern cable cars and lifts reach up to 3029m. The slopes are extremely varied and offer everything from enjoyment on wide glacier pistes to conquering fast, steep runs. Excellent winter sport enjoyment and a real outdoor feeling are guaranteed here.

What's New This Season at Kitzsteinhorn
Three new freeride ski routes in the 2009/10 season, altogether five ski routes in a varied off-piste area close to the lifts. Also new for the coming season is the Freeride Info Base at the Alpincenter with information on freeride ski routes, weather, snow and avalanche conditions, a checkpoint for avalanche transceivers, equipment tips and much more. Furthermore Freeride Info Points at the entry of the freeride ski routes with topographic maps, safety advice, advice on emergency measures and much more. Last but not least Freeride Workshops as an introduction into freeriding and avalanche knowledge
