Magic, certainly
Posted on 02/14/2012 by: Kelly

This is one of those quintessential smaller New England resorts where locals know the repeat weekend warrior families. Great diversity and glades. Slower lifts and less snowmaking capabilities than the bigger resorts, but a friendlier atmosphere.

A Saturday in VT with no lines!
Posted on 02/14/2012 by: Brad Fahsel

Saturday's trip to Magic was my first ever. Used my Mountain Sports ticket to ski but day price for Saturday would have been $59. If they had snow like they did last year this would have been amazing. Terrain looks to be challenging but with lack of snow and limited terrain open it still was a fun day. Enjoyed the atmosphere - look forward to going back!

Amazing Terrain
Posted on 02/01/2012 by: Matt Z

I went here for the first time last season and was thoroughly impressed. The terrain is as good as anywhere with some really nice woods, steeps, and cliffs. It was a powder day and barely anyone was there! I felt like I had fresh tracks all day long. If your into plush amenities and such, this isn't the place for you but if you are here to ski you will absolutely love it. Cheap tickets, no lines, friendly atmosphere, and great terrain sums this place up. There isn't much in the way of snowmaking and grooming however so make sure they have a decent base if you're going.

The Great Unknown
Posted on 12/21/2006 by: Nate

Despite its old chairs, Magic has challenging terrain and can be great fun. I would recommend it for a day trip or only after there is a good deal of snow. It has great trail set up and some nice steep and narrow lines. More for the intermediate or advanced skier or rider.
