Decent place

Shasta was an alright place to board because it is cheap. The snow wasnt very good when I went but that's not the reason why. When purchasing the lift ticket, the staff at the box were a little rude and there was a pretty huge line. The resort itself was just a little too small for my liking. I snowboard at Sqauw, so there is a definite size difference. I went with a friend that wasn't so good getting off the lifts ad they just went too fast and had too much off a drop off. I would recommend this place for one reason and that's because it is cheap. |

The Best In The Area! (nothing else in the area)

Very small resort. The pipe is not in the best location- one side gets shade, so it is icy while the other is slushy. Not all runs are groomed daily. Grooming and maintenance of runs leave you with a "Is this all?" feeling. Bring your first-born or sell a kidney if you want to feed the family there! |
