If your idea of a perfect ski resort is powdered, empty slopes in a beautiful location with no queus, then this is the place for you!!! I travelled to Andorra in February this year with my family. We flew to Gerona and a 4 hour leisurely drive through beautiful scenery took us to our hotel in Arinsal. Not the prettiest of places, but we had our car and were able to explore - and we were so glad we did!! Arcalis base station is only accessible by car or an unreliable bus service - which probably explains why it is so quiet - for most of the day we felt as though we had the place to ourselves - it's magical! At the moment there is very little accommodation there - go before it all changes!!!
