| Karbon introduces the Rainier 3 Ply jacket. The Rainier jacket is constructed with Karbon’s exclusive Prostretch 3 Ply fabric, a highly advanced 4-way stretch textile with outstanding abrasion resistance. The stretch properties of this fabric have allowed us to design the garment with a more ergonomic silhouette intended to allow the wearer to enjoy unencumbered freedom of movement.
For protection against the elements, ProStretch 3 Ply employs a Karbonite 20 000 laminate, meaning that its’ breathability and water & wind resistance are exceptionally high. The Rainier has been constructed with Sew Free technology, a technique where seams are joined using a process involving heat, pressure and an adhesive agent. By fully seam welding the entire garment, we have virtually eliminated all stitching and seam tape. Naturally this creates a more waterproof garment, while the lack of seam tape reduces bulk, reduces weight, and increases the breathable surface area of the garment. |
