| Garage is laying low for 2007-2008. Are we building? Yes, but only for existing customers in limited number. What's up? Well, since every board we make seems to turn into 10 more we have to make, we're just not interested in working that hard right now. |
Garage Snowboards - Their Specialties
| At Garage we're riders first. We only make snowboards, but we're driven to do it because our thirty-year design foundation and uncompromising technical insights create boards noticeably better than anything we could buy. Our niche is an incredibly small minority of riders who recognize that the performance and durability of the "best" boards out there really isn't that great, and that it doesn't have to be that way. Garage is in business on our own terms: we own everything in the factory, free and clear. We designed our tooling and equipment in SolidWorks and built everything on CNC equipment. We build our snowboards in a small shop in Montana. We have enough presses and tooling to make 40,000 boards a year, but we won't. We also don't farm out production. Our stuff is fundamentally different, so it's really not possible for us to have boards built elsewhere without sharing secrets we'd rather keep.
