| For 2008-2009, we are pleased to introduce four new telemark and alpine touring (AT) skis in our Mountain Series. The all-new Storm and Storm BC are all-mountain skis with a penchant for laying first tracks. New tip and tail shapes are designed for either side of the boundary ropes, and the multiple-radii Progressive Sidecut produces the ultimate blend of quickness and versatility combined with width for float and stability. Inspired by ski guide and mountaineer Eric Henderson, the Spire and Spire BC are at home on every terrain type, with versatile shapes and responsive constructions designed for everything from soft spring bumps at Mad River Glen to the jaw-clenching couloirs of the Grand Teton. In XCD, we celebrate the 30th anniversary of the XCD program, and add a 195cm length to the renowned XCD Guide. |

| For over 30 years, Karhu has innovated with skis focused on the wilder side of winter, from Nordic touring through XCD, telemark and alpine touring. In 2008, Karhu celebrates its unique history in backcountry and telemark skiing with the 30th anniversary of the XCD design, which married downhill and Nordic design – metal edges, Nordic builds, new sidecuts and cambers capable of touring and turning – in a single ski that became a legend. The XCD (the perfect encapsulation of its purpose, Cross-Country Downhill) captured the essence of the telemark revival and opened up a whole new world in the backcountry under the feet of pioneers like Tom Carter and Allan Bard.
