| We were not satisfied by what was available nine years ago in New Zealand for snowboarding. We started to design and sew our own riding equipment in the garage to keep us dry and warm while doing what we love most -- snowboarding.
You should know that the New Zealand winters can be extremely cold, wet and more and more riders from all over the country came to us for their jackets and pants. Nine years later our production has moved to Asia and we have my design studio right next to Groovstar NZ HQ in Whangamata. This small beach town is famous for its good
surfing conditions and is only a short drive to the mountains. We attended our first ISPO tradeshow in 2004 and the reactions on the collection were just great. The technical features and our competitive pricing was appreciated by the visitors of the tradeshow. We are pleased that Groovstar NZ is distributed in over 10 countries in
Europe and Asia this year. Our goal is to make Groovstar NZ available for riders all over the world over the next couple of years.
