About High Mountain Heli-Skiing

Our 305,000-acre terrain includes all of the Snake River and Palisades Mountain Ranges, and portions of the Hoback, Teton and the Gros Ventre Mountain Ranges south of the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. Vast open bowls, steep chutes, enchanted forests and glades can all be yours to explore with HMH.

Our operations include intermediate to expert terrain. Skiers and Boarders are welcome and are generally grouped according to ability when possible, in order to optimize the enjoyment for everyone. Groups consist of five guests and one guide; the maximum number of groups during a heli day is four (20 guests) with one Bell 407 helicopter.

Anyone going heli-skiing should be of advanced to expert skiing ability, able to make good parallel turns. With the advancement of powder and fat skis, powder skiing experience is not completely necessary. Fat ski rentals (the new Rossignol S7 Freeride) can easily be arranged in our shop and are always encouraged.

Since 1974, High Mountain Heli-Skiing (HMH) has been offering its guests the ultimate deep powder helicopter skiing experience in Jackson Hole.

A day of heli-skiing consists of six runs, approximately 12,000-15,000 vertical feet, transportation to the heli-pad, and lunch at the Heli-Deli. Extra runs are available at an additional cost when time and conditions will allow. Rental powder skis (the new Rossignol S7 Freeride) are recommended and available in our shop.

We fly in groups of six, one guide and five guests. Four groups (20 guests) is the maximum amount for our daily operations.

Our main office location is in the town of Jackson at 945 West Broadway in the Hillside Plaza. All heli-ski trips will meet here daily at 8:30am. For our guests in Teton Village without transportation, there will be one pick-up each morning in front of the clock tower at 8:10am. Please let our office know if you will need a pickup in Teton Village.
