Equipment Used

We utilize helicopters specifically built and engineered for mountain flying. All H2O's pilots are highly trained mountain aviators who work well with our guides and visiting friends.

Training & Instruction

We adopt backcountry protocols in all we do; everyone wears a beacon, carries a shovel and probe, and is trained on how to use these important safety tools. Our client-to-guide ratio is 5 to 1 and our emphasis is safe route selection, teamwork, and providing skills to take home.

Local Lodging

We are located at the Best Western Valdez Harbor Inn. The hotel is the highest quality hotel in all of Valdez and has a restaurant and lounge on site with delicious cuisine and harbor views. It is located on the water at the entrance to the small boat harbor and is just a few blocks from the heart of downtown Valdez. All restaurants and businesses are within a 6 block radius of the hotel.

Valdez is a mecca for outdoorsy folks: ice climbing, sea kayaking, fishing, cross-country skiing, hiking, jaw-dropping scenery, etc., are available nearby.
