About Powder Addiction

Our operation lies less than 1 hour drive from Denver; the closest powder skiing operation to the Front Range. You will spend the day skiing virgin snow at an average elevation of 11,000 feet. The high altitude combined with good Northern exposure keeps our snow cold and light. The first run will be decided based on current conditions that day. It could be a high alpine bowl or some sweet tree shots. One of the guides always skis first and sets boundaries and a meeting spot. Guest will follow one at a time and stick close the line the guide sets Rudi’s Deli will be preparing a fantastic sack lunch, with homemade goodies, and during the first half of the day our photographer will ride along and get some great shots of you and your friends rippin’ the POW. At the end of the day, you will be treated to a complimentary beer, while you check out the days photos on the big screen, and give your legs a much deserved rest.

Guide Certifications & Experience
| All of Powder Addiction’s expertly trained guides have a minimum of: First Aid Wilderness First Responder Certificates, CPR for Professional Rescue, and have completed Avalanche Safety Courses. Powder Addiction’s own “Ski Boss” is An AAA (American Avalanche Association) certified avalanche instructor, and has taught avalanche education for over 20 years. |
Equipment Used
| Powder Addiction operates a LMC CI Model SnowCat that can accommodate 12 guests per day. All trips include Salomon Czar Powder Skis and Mammut BarryVox Pulse Beacon (including Mammut Packs and Rescue Gear). We also carry a limited quantity of Rotefella NTN Binding System and Demo Tele boots by Crispi. |

Training & Instruction
| Powder Addiction is offering avalanche classes for snowmobilers. Classes will be held at the Powder Addiction offices in the Village at Winter Park. Field sessions will take place in the Rollins Pass area. We will offer three levels of classes this year.
