About Tamarack Resort

Tamarack, while typically known as an intermediate mountain, features some great backcountry skiing. Just outside the 1100 acre inbound ski area, lies over 5000 acres of backcountry playground, including bowls, drops, deep pow and incredible tree skiing.

Designed for skiers and snowboarders, this program is best suited for powder hounds looking for endless lines of freshies. Explore the glades and open bowls to the north and south of Tamarack by experiencing Arling Glades, Poison Lake, Lone Tree, and the South Bowl.

Whether by cat, by snowmobile or by bus, your personal guide will ensure that you get the best lines, the most powder and the most unforgettable skiing or boarding experience of the season. There’s no better way to experience Tamarack’s backcountry.
