About Canyon Ski Area
As Alberta's LARGEST non-mountain alpine resort we are proud to encourage people of all ages in the sports of skiing and snowboarding. Canyon Ski Area is centrally located just 8 km east of Red Deer.
We have a very exciting season ahead with school groups during the week and a variety of children and adult programs evenings and weekends, as well as many fantastic activities for all of our guests! Our season usually begins mid-November and continues through to mid-March.

What a blast.
I drove 1and a half to get to a hill that's only half open and it was awesome not only is the pricing lift lines and staff was more than reasonable the snow conditions were awesome I've been there 3 times since opening. ...More |

New RAILS! Canyon is proud to announce that we have purchased two new rails for our terrain park this season. We also have increased our snowmaking capacity by 40%!
