About Brighton Ski Resort
Brighton began in 1936 with a 'skier tow' built out of 1/2 inch wire rope and an old elevator drum. In 1946, in competition with Jensen/ Doyle, a single chairlift was built on the Mt. Millicent side of Brighton. In 1955, Jensen/Doyle built a double chair, the Majestic Lift, which was the first double chair in the intermountain region. The success of the double chair was so overwhelming, a second double chair lift (the Mary Lift) was built in 1958. In 1963, Jensen/Doyle purchased the single chair on Millicent and two more lifts were added by the partnership. In 1991, Brighton built its first high-speed quad, the Crest Express. In 2007 Brighton added the Milly Express, a $4.2 million detachable quad making Brighton unique in that 100% of its terrain will be accessible from high speed lifts!

My 14 year old son and I went to Brighton after hearing they had received 3 to 5 inches of new snow the previous night. The first thing we were pleasantly surprised was how uncrowded it was. There were signs of fresh snow whi...More |

The big news is the New Millicent Side of the Mountain! The new lift and lodge are a $6 million improvement! The Milly lift is a $4.2 million Doppelmayr CTEC Detachable Quad.
