About Cranmore
Cranmore Mountain Resort has drawn crowds from all round the world for 75 years and you don’t have to be a huge resort to be known for big things. In the late 1930’s ‘The Father of American Skiing,’ Hannes Schneider, took his first runs on the South Slope of Cranmore. This put Cranmore and North Conway on the global map and made Cranmore the place to ski in the East. Schneider soon started a ski school at Cranmore and taught the famous Arlberg technique he acquired in Austria to students from around the globe.
Today Cranmore continues to offer guests the best experience by providing the best rental equipment, highly trained snowsports staff, first class terrain, New Hampshire’s #1 tubing facility, three dialed in terrain parks, the #1 Nastar course in the East, Saturday night Cranapalooza celebrations, online specials and affordable season passes to only name a few.

Limited night skiing, otherwise great!
Went up yesterday for Cranapalooza. Trails were well groomed and conditions were amazing (just as SkiSite reported!). Terrain Park was off the hook! Only complaint would be that the trail/lift selection was quite limited o...More |
What's New This Season at Cranmore
New this year is the new Schneider Triple chairlift which will increase the uphill lift capacity and additional vertical to the southern slopes of the resort. It will also give skiers a 3rd summit access lift. This new lift represents a $1 mil. investment.“This new lift is not just a replacement of the old East Double Chair, which served only a handful of trails. We have relocated the lift line to the south so that it services a whole new area of skiing on 11 trails. It adds 300 feet of vertical when you compare the old lift to the new lift. The Schneider Triple will give skiers easier access to Cranmore’s best advanced terrain including Ledges and Koessler, plus intermediate favorites like Artist Falls,” stated Cranmore GM and President, Ben Wilcox.
Cranmore has also purchased 60 new energy efficient snow guns. The purchase brings Cranmore’s total of the high-efficiency snow guns to 378, serving 163 acres and 16 miles of terrain. That number is up over 350% since 2008.
