About Murren/Schilthorn
Mürren, the car-free resort in the Bernese Oberland is 1,650 m above sea level and is part of the Jungfrau-Region. Mürren is one of the highest settlements in the Canton Bern and is occupied throughout the year. It is situated above the famous Lauterbrunnen Valley. Formerly a “Valser”-settlement, Mürren is now part of the community of Lauterbrunnen. There are approximately 450 permanent residents.
