Husky Winter Sports is the oldest club at the University of Washington, and has always strived to foster relationships between like-minded winter sports enthusiasts. This extends to more than just the members, as HWS is also a non-profit Ski and Snowboard School at the Summit at Snoqualmie. Each member becomes a Certified Instructor in either Skiing or Snowboarding and gets the chance to improve their own riding, earn professional experience, and develop lasting friendships all while attending the University of Washington.

Because HWS is a Registered Student Organization at the University of Washington, our members are all UW students. Our lessons are comprised of students of all ages from the Western Washington region.
Check out our website for more details on how to come meet us.
There are no dues for HWS members, but there is a tryout process involving training on-campus during November and on-snow training and evaluations during January.
HWS holds lessons for six weekends every Winter starting in February. In addition to those required trips the club goes to Whistler three times a year and at least once to another ski resort in the PNW region.
