About this Club

The Thunderbird Ski Club was founded in 1949 and has boasted a membership of over 1900 over the years. We pride ourselves with having our own Snow Sports School with mostly PSIA Instructors as well as our own highly competitive Race Team.

We ski locally and mostly to the west and Europe each year. We organize non-ski activities also with over 40 weekends with something to do socially. Imagine a night at the racetrack with a buffet dinner and harnes racing to canoe trips, picnics, open houses to see your friends and new ski gear also. Try a Road Rally or Wine tasting; a Fall Color Trip, a Baseball Games or maybe a theater outing. Take your pick.

Area Served

The use of the internet has opened our membership as well as participation throughout the country although most of our active members reside within 50 miles of Dearborn, MI

Meetings

Membership Meetings are held on at least the 1st Wednesday of every month and sometimes the second. We meet at varying locations in the metro area so please look to our website for upcoming locations.

Memberships

Membership is restricted to individuals at least the age of 21. Due are $35 to join, $25 to renew.

Trips & Events

We hold a membership meeting at least once a month and try to plan additional social activities with the same frequency. We normally run at least one western trip per month during the ski season and one trip to Europe once per season.
