About Sunshine Slopers Ski Club
We are the first African American Ski Club in South Florida and associated with the National Brotherhood of Skiers (NBS) & Florida Ski Council. We provide national and international ski and non-ski activities. Our youth are the primary mission of the organization as well as introducing people of color to winter sport activities. We develop and train our youth for ski and boarding competition. The youth races are held during the ski season as part of the NBS races. Our non-ski activities consist of theater, plays, white water raffing, bowling, picnic, jet sking and summer retreats and summerfest.

We meet the 3rd Sunday of each month at 3:00 pm at Betty Ferguson Recreation Complex, 3000 NW 199th Street in Miami Gardens, Florida. We do not meet in July & August, and our annual Retreat is held in June of each year in an popular vacation location in Florida. Our Retreat will be in Key West, Florida in 2012.Memberships
