Ramapo is a diverse group of friendly singles, families and couples. In addition to skiing the club offers hiking, rollerblading, biking, picnics and other social functions. The club owns a lodge located at Mad River Glen in Vermont. Mad River is within walking distance and Sugarbush is 15 minutes away.

Ramapo Mountain Ski Club, established in 1947, is based in northern New Jersey. Most members live in Bergen County in NJ, and Rockland and Orange counties in NY.
The club meets weekly (Sept-April) at 8:00 pm at the Knights of Columbus, 48 Mechanic Street Ramsey NJ. Non members are welcome to come to the meeting to find out more about the club.
It's easy to join our club! Just come to a meeting! Joining. To join the club, you attend four activities, which include meetings, hikes, work weekends at the lodge, and any other club-sponsored event. For each activity you attend, you'll have a club officer sign your "hospitality card". After you get four signatures, you will fill out an membership application and have it signed by your Ramapo sponsor (who can even be someone you meet at a meeting). Once your membership application has been approved (an easy thing), you'll become an associate member after paying a one-time initiation fee and the annual club dues.
To become a full member (a member who can vote in club elections), you will take a basic skiing (downhill or nordic) or snow board skills test (the "bronze" test) within two years.
One time Initiation fee - single: $50, single parent: $110, couple: $100, Family: $150.
Annual dues - single: $45, single parent: $60, couple: $85, Family: $100.
The club welcomes downhill (alpine) skiers, snowboarders, and nordic (crosscountry/XC) skiers.
The club has a 40-person lodge at Mad River Glen in Waitsfield, Vermont and the lodge is a short drive to Sugarbush Resort in Warren, VT.
RMSC is one of 50 clubs affiliated with the New Jersey Ski Council
The 40-person lodge has 10 bedrooms, a spacious living room with a fireplace and cathedral ceiling, and a modern kitchen and dining room. During the ski season, a chef is provided at modest cost to members and guests.
The lodge provides an excellent base for a wide range of activities year-round, including hiking, biking, swimming, golf and just relaxing in an ideal mountain location
