Rusty Bindings Ski Club is an active member of Singles League, Bay Area Snow Sports Council and the Far West Ski Association. The club is focused on downhill skiing/racing and snowboarding/racing. The racing teams compete in the Bay Area Singles League racing competitions. Club members who ski and ride boards and do not race also participate in sharing rented mountain condominiums and group dinners. The weekly meetings and a myriad of year-round activities keep club members tightly connected and extremely active. In addition to snow sports and other activities, the club makes annual donations to chosen charitable organizations. By being under the umbrella of the Bay Area Snow Sports Council, members can purchase discount lift tickets to a wide variety of Lake Tahoe mountain sports resorts. After the racing season ends, there is an annual Spring Awards banquet which recognizes those who have raced competitively, as well as providing the first introduction of the newly elected club officers. As members of the Far West Ski Association, club members have access to generally wholesale prices of world-wide travel experiences.

Our members are generally from (but not limited to) Contra Costa and Alameda counties. Of note in July 2006 the club held a 35th reunion party. Over 200 members, former members and spouses attended and had a memorable time of dinner, visiting and dancing. Former members came from as far as Hawaii, Washington state, Nevada and Florida to reconnect with old friends.
General club meetings are held weekly. September through May, the meetings are every Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. at The Greenery Restaurant in Walnut Creek. Pre-meeting socializing begins around 6:30 to 7:00 p.m. The restaurant is located at 1551 Marchbanks Road. In the summer, bi-weekly barbecues, in lieu of the meetings at the restaurant, are held at a park in Pleasant Hill at 7:00 p.m. During the summer, meetings are held every other week at The Greenery.
